Prof. Dr. Md. Sujan Ali (Sheikh Sujan Ali) is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU), Trishal, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, where he has twice served as Head of the Department. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Rajshahi, supported by an ICT Fellowship from the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology of the Government of Bangladesh, and conducted part of his doctoral research at Chonnam National University, South Korea. He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Islamic University, Kushtia. His research centres on brain–computer interfacing (BCI), neural signal processing and electroencephalography (EEG) analysis — including artifact suppression, motor imagery classification and time-frequency analysis — together with machine learning and digital signal and image processing. He has published widely in international journals and conference proceedings and has led externally funded research projects on EEG-based analysis of human brain activity. Beyond engineering, he is a published Bengali author of poetry and short stories.
